In addition to astrophotography, I am very involved in telescope making and mentoring others in the art. I am also a private pilot.
I am more interested in the object than in creating a "pretty picture", perhaps one day after I've exhausted my extensive target list, I'll devote my effort to generating pretty pictures.
The Nevada County Astronomers is a newly formed astronomy group dedicated to enriching both the members and the publics enjoyment of the night time sky.
The International Darksky Association (IDA) is dedicated to educating all on the negative impacts of over-lighting and obtrusive lighting.
