NGC 2342 and NGC 2341 are two interacting galaxies.  NGC 2342 is undergoing intense startburst activity due to the gravitational effects of the interaction.

NGC 2341 is the smaller galaxy at upper right center.

NGC 2342 is classified as Sc/P.  Surface brightness is  13.6 magnitude.
