NGC 3432 is classified SBm.  Surface brightness is 13.6 magnitude.  NGC 3432 is interacting with the faint nearby galaxy PGC 32617 at the upper right.  Supernova 2000ch occurred in this galaxy.   Photometric and spectroscopic observation of 2000ch suggest it is a super massive blue star similar to Eta Carina (Wagner et. al.).

Distance is 40 Mly.
