NGC 5566 is a classified as SBab-R (a barred spiral ringed galaxy. 

Surface brightness of this extended galaxy is listed as 14.7 magnitude.  Red shift distance is 70 Mly. 

NGC 5566 contains a counter rotating mini-disk within the larger central bar, a not so rare event. (Moiseev, et.al., 2004)

The edge-on galaxy at top left is NGC 5560 and the faint galaxy at lower center is NGC 5569.
