NGC 6306 at lower right is classified as SBa-b/P with a surface brightness of mag. 14. NGC 6307 is at upper left and is classified as SBO-a R with a surface brightness of mag 14.3.
NGC 6307 shows extensive star forming activity with disparate radial velocities within the galaxy (Kazarian, et.al., 1977).
