NGC 931 is a mag. 14.3 type Sbc , Seyfert-1 galaxy.  Distance is approximately 220 million light years.  The small galaxy at the upper edge of NGC 931 is about 33,000 light years beyond NGC 931 and is probably interacting with 931 (Ward, et.al., 1978).
