Supernova Remnant
Part of the famous Veil Nebula in the constellation Cygnus.  NGC6960 is known as the Tornado due to it's shape.  Note the abundance of stars in the lower portion of  the image compared to the top portion.  It is believed the Veil is illuminated by a shock wave compressing and sweeping up dust as it travels through space. (Burnham)

The bright star is 52 Cygnus.
